Dear Family and Friends,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I cannot believe that time has flown by so fast.
Almost 2013. What happened there huh?
Well this last week has been wild. You know that photo that i sent you
of Mary and the Libro de Mormon? well we printed out like 75 of those,
and we have been passing them out to all of our members, menos
activos, investigators, todos. And We have been mixing the "Como a
comenzar a Ensenar" with a christmas message about Christ. And it is
awesome. I love that every time we teach, my testimony grows, and i
realize more and more how much the Gospel blesses our lives.
My companion thinks it is hilarious that i cry almost every time i
share my testimony...or...in every single lesson ever. Well, more like
teary eyed... and choked up... Who am i trying to kid. I straight
up cry. Whatever, the Gospel is the best thing that has ever happened
to me.
This last sunday was a miracle. Had a family of 8 people in
attendance. Granted that 3 are already members, and 2 dont live in our
area, three of them have a baptismal date for this saturday. So, if
everything goes well this week, they will be baptised and confirmed
this 5th and 6th of January. How awesome. Starting a new year with a
new life. Anyways, it was a miracle that this family attended because
they normally do not wake up until 1 in the afternoon...and church
starts at 8 a.m. But we arrived at their house at 7:45, and they were
all already ready! How great is that. Plus, it was nice to walk into
the chapel with a family of 8, with all of the members watching. Maybe
they will be a little more excited about the work now.
This area is very difficult. Yes there are more families. But there
are also a lot more people who want nothing to do with the Mormons. We
are better known here than in Jimenez. We found out that in one
neighborhood, after we visit a family, a woman in that neighborhood
visits those families and tells them how bad the Mormon Church is, and
that they should beware of those missionaries. So....we visited the
woman. Haha. I like a challenge. We gave her that Christmas Card, and
a book of mormon, which she tried to refuse, saying that she has bad
eyesight, we asked her if she reads the bible, she said yes, perfect.
She now has a book of mormon.
In other new, we passed out about 30 books of mormon this week. It was
wild. And i am excited to follow up with all of the people that now
have the fulness of the Gospel on their bookshelves.
Thank you to everyone who sent me Christmas letters. Thank you Kim and
Jeff Harper. You as well Uncle Doug, Aunt Annette, and fam. You are
all so awesome! I hope you had a merry Christmas and will have a happy
new year.

Newest revelation from President Angulo: Ether, Chapters 1-6,12.
Combined with Alma 56-58. Apply everything to the Mission, the war,
and the harvest. There it is.
