Hey Family!
So I write my emails at 6 a.m. on fridays, so I am sorry
if I have failed to respond to any of your emails in the past. Just know
I love you.
I do not really know if I have much to report. After the same exact
thing every week, it is a struggle to figure out what to tell you that
is new. I guess the thing of most significance was that i did New
Missionary Hosting this week. We all stood out on the curb and picked up
the new missionaries and showed them around the MTC, took them to their
rooms, and then to their classrooms. I got two elders and 2 sisters.
The sisters were amazing calm. The elders were flippin out. One of my
elders was just shaking the entire time. He was so nervous. But i just
talked to him the whole time, and did my best to comfort him. There
really isn't anything to be scared of as long as you are following the
rules and being focused. He was feeling a little better by the end of
our time together. Is so weird that I was the new little missionary not
too long ago. Ha, the elder I had was 21 years old already, and I could
not even tell. When i came in here, even though i was one of the oldest
elders in my zone, everyone who had been here even 1 week more than me
already seemed AGES and years older than me. They knew what they were
doing.
Oh, and just for clarification, I only have 1 companion. Elder Labar.
(Wesley is his first name.) He is from Newbury Park, California. I love
him. Elder Ellis is still one of my roommates, and we are in the
classroom together all the time, but we don't teach together anymore. So
it isn't too much of a change.
Ok. I am out of time.
I love you all so much. You are the best
examples to me. It is crazy to think that i will only send 1 more email
to you before I leave for Mexico. (IF my visa comes soon. I am
praying.)
Love,
Elder Romney Vaughn Hansen
