D&C 88:73...i think... Well things are changing. March 18 Letter

What up ya'll,

How are you all doing? Gosh i miss your beautiful faces.

So first news is, we had a baptism. :))))))   <- (Not a lot of smiles, just a lot of chins, I eat a lot of candy, thanks aunt annette)

Second news, played sports. and we dont care who knows.

Fourth news, we are now allowed to email whichever of our friends, church leaders, extended family, and converts. :) What a joyous day. Sent from the Missionary counsel thingy of the church offices and first presidency and stuff. Just to save time from handwriting and buying stamps, and sending letters, and all that mess. So i am now adding a few friends to the email list. Dont be shocked. I am not sinning. Promise. Psyched you out on the whole Third news thing huh? I dont even know.

But wow, this last week has been something incredible. It is amazing to see the lords hand in all that we do. At the beginning of the week, we received the indication that we have to have 15 new investigators this week, and we have to put 4 baptismal dates, i will be referring to these in this letter, as Fechas. Cause that is easier.

On monday, we had zero success. taught one lesson. recieved two referrals. ehh.

Tuesday, was better, but still very very bad. 0 new investigators, and 0 fechas. We did receive 5 referrals though. So thats cool. And that morning, instead of studying, we had a capacitacion with Presidente Angulo. In the which we got this awesome picture that we have been using to teach all of our lessons. I will be attaching these photos to this email. But these things are powerful, after receiving these, for the rest of the week, we were not turned away from a single door! I was suprised that in all of our 12 visits this day, we didnt have much success. But we werent using the photo yet. :/

Wednesday, i sent a package to you mom, i hope you get it. I sent it with a 50 year-inactive member of the church, who went to El Paso. And i gave her 150 pesos, i pray so hard that this package gets to you. There is just a little gift in there for you, and then some stuff that was hogging my suitcase space. And then we went to work and began to Clamar (cry) to Heavenly Father for help. We had 10 visits that day. And 7 new investigators. And changed the baptismal date of a young girl, Yasbeck alejandra, the one that got baptised, to the 16th, instead of the programmed 23rd.

The next day, we studied Alma 22:17 with DyC 5:25, decided what we were going to do, each time we received an indication, and we had 5 new investigators, and put 1 fecha.

Friday, we began printing these photos in 6x8 and are now passing them out to all. We had 3 new investigators.

Saturday, we also had 3 new investigators.  And a baptism!!! :) Yasbeck Alejandra Lopez Ruiz. What a doll. She is so excited.

And yesterday, we found 1 new investigator, and put 2 fechas. We only had 3 investigators in church. :( that was a rough blow. BUt it is all good. And we had 10 less actives and recent converts in assistance, that was nice. after church, we zoomed to Pradera Dorada to have a meeting with Elder Valenzuela (70) and President Angulo, to talk about our ward councils and mission leaders. Ouch.

My favorite new investigator we found saturday, and put a fecha with her on sunday. She is so cool. She is named Claudia Masias Martinez. Has 5 sons, and her husband. We also have taught her father. But we still are waiting to meet her husband. She has told us that she feels something different when we are there, that she wants this for her sons, and that she is very willing to be baptised. She is so chosen.

All in all, we had a bucketload of new investigators. 19 to be exact. and only put 3 fechas. Almost achieved the 4 fechas. Almost. But the 5 families with which we wanted to put fechas on sunday, werent at home! :( i was bummed about that. But all is good. This next week will be even better. Just you wait. The work is moving along like crazy. I have never seen anything like it. Just everywhere we looked there were people willing to listen to a message about the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. So cool.

My other new favorites are named German and Mariana. They have a burrito stand out in front of there house (not too shabby), and they are super animados. Mariana is very excited to go to relief society. :) We will be putting fechas with them this week.

We continue to study 3 Nefi 19. It teaches us how we need to Clamar. DyC 86:5. Coool Beans. No joke. Stoked out of my mind. I have been so impressed with the manera that Heavenly Father has answered my prayers this week.
The church is so true.

I love you all so very very much. Have a grand week. And i have been so stoked to hear about all of these new missionary calls. We will be about 70,000 missionaries in service by July, and i cant wait for General Conference! And for the backup missionaries. 70,000 MISSIONARIES!! The 2000 stripling warriors dont stand a chance. (I hope that isnt sacreligious).

Love,

Elder Romney Hansen

ELder Pantoja and I, in front of our area. Everything you see behind us, until the mountain is Chapultepec 2, isnt it a lovely view.....from the parking lot of the Soriana in the other zone... :)

Elder Pacheco is a super goofy weird elder in my district. Haha. He is awesome. He has 17 months in the mission. And we had him take pictures of us. He did me the favor of taking one of himself.

Our March Christmas. mom...I GOT YOUR PACKAGES!! :) haha. We were pretty happy.

The baptism of Yasbeck Alejandra Lopez Ruiz. We reactivated her mom, and she was baptised. :) Her mom is named Norma Ruiz Orozco. And they are a pretty great family. They live in the same street as us, Privado Francisco Portillo, but like 5 blocks away.

These are some pictures of us playing volleyball, basketball, soccer, frisbee, football, everything, this morning. How cool is this world. You are seeing pictures of me from today. Super cool. THis is all of the missionaries in Juarez. We have played so much recently.
